Lucca Biennale, as well as being a reference point for lovers of contemporary art, is also the largest paper art event in the world. For this reason, all those who use and love the unusual medium of paper find in the event an opportunity to meet other artists from all over the world, thanks to the Network Days (NeD).
The NeD take place on the opening weekend of Lucca Biennale, July 30 and August 1, 2021, and provide participants (artists, cultural experts, curators, art lovers, designers and architects, art teachers etc..) a stage to discuss the innovations of the sector through debates, panels, projections and networking convivial moments.
The latter in particular is articulated in various moments, which allow participants to know and activate relationships and collaboration. In these convivial moments it is easy to have informal exchanges while eating, drinking, participating in a musical event or a performance!
The NeD are also an opportunity for the winning artists of the Indoor and Outdoor calls to explain their experience and tell the details of the works made and exhibited at the Lucca Biennale.
In addition to these moments of confrontation between the participants, the debates of NeD address various issues related to paper art such as the use of innovative techniques, the possible social developments of the use of architecture in paper, the possibilities of financing the world of art.
The Lucca Biennale team is currently working on the calendar of events that composes the NeD for the X Edition.
Are you working on experimental works of Paper Art and would like to share your know-how with other artists? Have you worked on innovative projects that use paper as a material?
The X Edition of Lucca Biennale will be held for the first time in an odd year from August 1 to September 26, 2021.
