The Biennial of Contemporary Art - Cartasia is a big event organized by a no profit with the local support the international acknowledgments and a team of volunteers who give their best.
Thanks to these cooperation and your support the Biennial can give hospitality at more and more famous invited personalities and guarantee a considerable award money to artists who make original monumental paper installations.
The Organizing Committee uses to work 2 year to planning and organising this international event: project planning, analysis, choises, contacts, collaborations untill the event.

Call for monumental paper artworks!
Cartasia is proud to announce a "Call for Artists - Outdoor exhibition" to invite international artists to make monumental paper artworks that will hosted at Lucca in August 2016
The list (not final form) of some places recommended for installations:
Porta San Pietro (space inside the walls next to the door), Piazza San Frediano, Piazza San Salvatore, Piazza Cittadella, Piazza San Francesco, Piazza San Michele, Piazza del Giglio.
The competition aims to promote and highlight tradition and process of paper art. Theme of the 8th edition is "BORDERS & PERSPECTIVES", the theme is a contemporary gaze that can be understood as social, religious, artistic, anthropological etc

Call for...Logo

Concorso per la rivisitazione del logo CARTASIA
CARTASIA bandisce un concorso per la creazione di un nuovo logo rappresentativo della Biennale D'Arte Internazionale.
Il logo diventerà il simbolo ufficiale delle attività della Biennale (Italia e oltre confine) e sarà utilizzato per tutte le applicazione previste o che riterrà necessarie e opportune, a partire dalla VIII edizione che avrà luogo nel 2016.
Il concorso è aperto a tutti, da liberi professionisti a studenti (superiori, università e accademie) e più in generale a chiunque ritenga di voler proporre la propria idea. E' possibile proporre idee originali o un restyling del logo esistente.
Premiazione:
Il vincitore verrà invitato e presentato alla stampa nazionale in occasione della conferenza ufficiale di inizio della Biennale. Sarà garantita la copertura dei costi di viaggio A/R.
Il logo scelto verrà inoltre impiegato per la comunicazione dell'VIII edizione della Biennale che avrà luogo nell'estate 2016.
