Paperman, the event takes part in the "month of the recycle" organized by Comieco
On Tuesday March 3rd, at cinema Astra in Lucca it will be screened “Paperman - Beyond Boundaries” produced by Metropolis production and shot by Domenico Zazzara.
The documentary is about James Lake the artist who during the 2018 Biennale edition, realized one of the outdoor monumental sculputures called Paperman, and won the Lifetime Achievement Award.
The documentary deals with the story of overcoming one’s limits- physical, psychological, social- as a necessary challenge to believe in oneself, in one’s abilities and projects. James’ story is an universal parable about the value of growth and change.
James Lake finds his own path in creating artworks out of cardboard a material considered with no values, in his hands becomes an artpiece. His style moves and amazes.
The event is a part of "March the month of recycle", an initiative organized by Comieco, whose purpose is the recycling and recovery of cellulosic packaging.
The aim of this event is to spread the word that paper and cardboard are creative, innovative, recycled, and 100% sustainable.
